"Great place in Canada"

Anonymous

I'm a Canadian west coast foodie and I watch DDD every day. I've been surprised by how few times a Canadian restaurant has been featured on DDD. There are three restaurants in my town that I think are absolutely perfect and would love to see featured on the show. The first is a cozy little pub called the Charles Dickens Pub. It's relatively small but every time I've been there it has been busy. They do a really mean butter chicken with cracker bread and rice that is almost as good as the butter chicken my adopted auntie from India made for me. They also do a really good pulled pork (called The Pulled Pig), and a divine chicken mushroom swiss burger. This is the go-to for my boyfriend and I on date night. The second is a place called The Woodshed Restaurant. They do pizza with a twist; it's all done in a wood fired oven. All their pizzas are thin crust and absolutely incredible. My favorites that I have tried are the Hawaaian, the smoked Salmon and goat cheese, the perogie pizza, and the brie bacon and apple pizza. It's another small restaurant but the staff is super friendly, the food is great, and the atmosphere is cozy. The last one is owned by the same people who own The Woodshed. It's called Fish on Fifth and as you can probably tell, they specialize in fish. They do amazing fish and chips, fish burgers, and a supremely delicious chowder. They also do a really delicious deep fried banana cheesecake. Really you can pick anything from their menu and you would not be disappointed. I would be thrilled if one of these restaurants was featured on DDD. It would be a great way to put them on the map for tourists and travelers. Sincerely, Stephanie H
