"Good Mongkok Bakery in San Jose, CA"
Dear Guy, We love your show and you. We are a bay area family who loves food and eating out. We loved your story on one of favorite breakfast places in Berkeley, Meal Ticket. We have an idea for a story idea that will take just slightly outside the DDD territory. How about a show called "Diners, Driveins and Dumplings?" We thought of this idea while we were cruising the San Francisco China Town for Dim Sum last week. A show on Dumpling places would be terrific and could go beyond China Town to places doing new, modern versions of dumplings and noodles. Our picks: Good Mong Kok Bakery, Stockton St in San Francisco China Town - Totally classic take-out only dimsum. The BEST Pork Bun you have ever had. You can take a pink donut box full home. If you don't you will dream of them for days until you find an excuse to go back. Great, crabby chinese ladies who serve you will be helpful if you are patient. Imperial Tea Court (We like the Berkeley one but there is also one in the Ferry Building). The most delicious bowl of hand pulled noodles and shumai that you will ever taste. Hong Kong East Ocean Seafood - Great views on the Bay with a huge, family oriented Dim Sum restaurant in Emeryville. This place is full of Chinese families on weekends and makes terrific, classic dumplings and noodles (try Singapore Noodles). There are so many more. Hope you consider our show idea! Best regards, Simone and Monique Berkeley, CA
