Po' Boys Creole and Fresh Catch in Milton, DE

http://www.poboyscreole.com/ Ate here (in Milton, DE) with my family in August and the food TOTALLY ROCKS!!! Total New Orleans authenticity with super fresh seafood. The ambiance is also totally Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives - style with a very very talented owner / chef (Michael Clampitt) with all the necessary tats and other accoutrements. Bucky B. This little joint in tiny Milton, DE has the best authentic South Louisiana menu of any restaurant in the DE or MD area that we found. We stumbled across it while living in Delaware. It is just off of Hwy1 South headed towards the DE beaches. We had moved there from Louisiana and wanted to find a place with a cajun, creole menu something close to home...the restaurant is in a small strip center behind a dollar store. So it is not impressive from the street. But when you walk in all impressions change. From the jambalaya (cooked the was the cajuns do it), to the alligator bites, to gumbo, to the Po' Boy's (fried oysters) done right. Even the Abita beer (Dogfish brewery is just done the road). I would strongly suggest considering Po'Boys Creole Restaurant for Triple D. Thank you Here is the website http://www.poboyscreole.com/

Po Boys Creole & Freah Catch is our favorite restaurant! Small, intimate atmosphere. The best, freshest food. We’ve seriously worked our way through the menu, and have never had a dish we weren’t happy with! Owner Mike and all the staff are awesome! Driving by, we used to say, who would ever eat at a tiny restaurant in the back of a Dollar General Store?” Now, we regularly drive an hour just to eat there! No joke, the best food we’ve ever eaten!

I would like to recommend this phenomenon authentic Creole Cajun restaurant in this tiny community called Milton Delaware. A friend of my boyfriend told us to try this restaurant while we were in Bethany Beach vacationing. The restaurant is about 40 min away from Bethany Beach but well worth the drive. I would of never thought the food would be any good as it is in a very small strip mall next to a dollar store and a Mexican restaurant in the middle of nowhere. restaurant Mike Clampitt is the chef and has been cooking for 30 yrs. To start off with I had Stuffed Squash Blossoms and Nawlins Fish Bisque Soup, next on our menu was Jambalaya which was made of a spicy mixture of chicken, shrimp, Andouille sausage and rice. Our main meal was Lump Crab Cake that were pan sautéed and served w/lemon-caper butter, creamy grits and vegetable du jour with home made corn bread. Finally our desert was freshly made pecan pie with home made whip cream. From start to finish the food was out of this world. I will also add that I'm not one for Cajun food or fish and have been to other Creole Cajun restaurants in my lifetime. Po' Boys Creole and Fresh Catch restaurant is well worth for Mr Guy Fieri to check out. Take a look at their website and Facebook page and see for yourself I don't recommend anything unless I feel it is worth it and others will like it also. Guy..... You gotta come to Po Boys Creole and Fresh catch in Milton D Guy..... You gotta come to Po Boys Creole and Fresh catch in Milton Delaware! Absolutely awesome! Extremely authentic creole made with fresh seafood from the Delaware coast (10 miles from the ocean / near Rehoboth beach). Always crowded. Just s little hole in the wall in a strip center. Owner is a cool dude with lots of tats and a super smooth/funny attitude. Would be a great interview. He's the chef and owner. Excellent jambalaya, creole, fried green tomatoes, and other trad creole dishes!
