Buddy Lou's Eats Drinks Antiques Hancock MD We discovered this "by accident" while hiking the C&O Canal on a crisp fall Sunday. Innovative menu, great outdoor deck, interesting decor inside. The duck breast salad was very nice. Husband enjoyed the fried chicken livers. Some people bike the Western Maryland Rail Trail and make this a meal stop. Only been open 9 weeks. You should check it out!

Dear Guy, My name is Scott Wachter and my wife's name is Pam and we a Dear Guy, My name is Scott Wachter and my wife's name is Pam and we are here to tell you about a place in Hancock, MD, called Buddy Lou's Eats Drinks Antiques. My wife and I live across the river in Berkeley Springs, WV, but we frequent there all the time. It is unlike any place you have ever seen before. They have a great menu with a dining area up top and antiques down below. They also have dining out doors in good weather. There food is original but classic. My wife's favorite is the crab cake sandwich, while I enjoy the Pork Belly sandwich. I have been all over the world and this is some of the best food I have ever had and my wife and kids love it too. The owners are very friendly and they take the time to ask how the meal was and talk with their customers. The originality that they used to create the atmosphere for this restaurant is truly one of a kind. We highly recommend this joint as one you have to see. This area is perfect for the Classic Camaro!

The She-Crab soup is the best I have ever tasted (spiced with just the right amount of Old Bay) and the BBQ chicken salad is huge enough for 3 to share.

Buddy Lou's restaurant is new to our small town. It has only been her Buddy Lou's restaurant is new to our small town. It has only been here for a few months but it has already made a huge impact on this community. The town of Hancock, MD has unfortunately seen better days. The store fronts on main street are run down and hold just mere memories of a once thriving area. The local eateries include numerous bars, a couple pizza joints, a Subway, and a few diners. (Nothing too fancy here.) Then came the anticipated Buddy Lou's. The sign was in front of the restaurant location for over a year before any progress could be seen. Many rumors ran through the small town about the types of food, drinks and antiques that would be offered at the new restaurant. During the soft opening, the place was packed. I could tell it would be a hit. I ate lunch with my pastor the second day they were open. I had the BBQ Chicken Salad. DELICIOUS!!! I could eat the dressing like soup. I have been to Buddy Lou's two more times since my initial experience and I have chosen the same salad those two times also. Not because I didn't want to try something else, but because I crave that salad. I am hoping to try another item during my next visit but I doubt it. HaHa! I really hope you choose Buddy Lou's as a stop for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. My family loves the show and I think Guy would love this place. It is organic, fresh, beautiful and a great addition to the town that needed them. :) Thanks, Sheena Sowers (Local Hancock BBQ Chicken Salad Lover)
