Wo Hop in New York, NY
Wo Hop in NYC's Chinatown - there are two restaurants with the same name 1-2 doors apart, go to the one that's underground. There is literally an awning over a set of steep steps leading to glass doors and a tiny dining area who's walls are covered in signed pictures. When you finally get through the line and inside (seating based on the number of people in your party) you sit down to the best family style Chinese-American food. All the classics we all love from your local Chinese takeout but better. Wonton soup is light and flavorful, steamed dumplings are delicious even the fried rice is amazing. Make sure you get the "crispy noodles" when you sit. These are the real deal of the straw-like chips takeout places give you with soup. Wide, crunchy and kind of greasy served with duck sauce and spicy mustard. Soda or juice by request only, every table gets tiny glasses for water and tea - oh and expect to run out of room on your table for all the food!
