"Bullocks' Bistro in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada"
If you want amazing fish, go to Bullock's Bistro in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada. They were voted the best fish is Canada a while back, and are one the neatest places. They are very small, with only a few tables and a bar to sit at, and the kitchen is totally exposed so you can see exactly what goes into your meal. The menu is simple, but amazing. And the atmosphere? Well, the walls, ceilings, coolers, everything really, are covered in signatures, pictures, postcards, and bumper stickers from the customers over the years. They don't put on any airs, but with food like that they don't need to! The menu is subject to availability, but the fish is always fresh and prepared in your choice of three ways: grilled, pan-fried, or deep fried. Your meal comes with salad and fries, both made in-house. They have a home-made salad dressing that is to die for, and the secret sauce for the pan-fried fish is out of this world. Not that into fish? There are various meats available, or you could have their take on surf'n'turf - the slurp'n'burp. They make buns fresh daily, as evidenced by the residual flour on the large table at the back. http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/365/1681569/restaurant/The-Territories/Bullocks-Bistro-Yellowknife Anyway you take it, it is worth the trip to Yellowknife.
