Guido's Deli in Scottsdale, AZ
Hello Guy Fieri - I have Triple "L" (love) for Triple D and Triple G! I highly recommend Guido's Deli, Scottsdale, AZ - since 1983 Owner is Joe Guido. Great guy and Quite a character, originally from Chicago. Joe pulls his own Mozzarella every day. Homemade / made from scratch recipes. Check out guidosofchicago.com - even the website cracks me up... I also love how his menu board has silly misspellings on it. I don't know if Joe realizes it or if he just doesn't care... Anyone in the Phoenix area that was originally from Chicago will drive "big distances" to guido's for the authentic subs like chicago style hot roast beef. I'm vegetarian, so I can't testify on any meat dishes, but OMG! - his eggplant parm, veggie lasagna and pizzas...MOLTO BUONO! The menu and Full deli, indoor / outdoor restaurant seating (50) and the Italian grocery store makes Guido's a one-of-a-kind experience that keeps you coming back for more. The bread is baked fresh every day, but it is delivered. Another local Italian "character" John bakes all the bread and supplies the majority of restaurants in the valley. What a fun Triple D show to feature both these guys - Joe and John! Great ingredients make great food. Add in their personalities with yours and "OH MARONE" - what a show! We can get Aaron May there for added fun - another character I love to be around! I watch your show all the time and it sure is a lot more entertaining when you are having fun with the owners (like the cute greek girl when you spooned her nose making spanikopita.) I hope you come to AZ and I hope we meet. You are awesome! - Traci C.
