"BraiZe in Bloomington, IL"

Anonymous

as a long time fan of triple d i have discovered a restaurant (braize) that is right up the flavortown alley. two young local chiefs zach poleto and brandon leach have started a pop up restaurant in our local vfw. they grew up in a small town and have been friends for over twenty years. they specialize in a sandwiches they call braizitos. brazitos are hollowed out fresh homemade bread hich they stuff with the filling of your choice. The turkeys are smoked by one of their chiefs and the bacon is cured and smoked by Zachs father. all of the cheese, produce and meats come from local farmers. I have had all of the Braizitos and love them all. I am a pharmecueticl rep and use them for lunches with doctors several times a week offices are now demanding that i serve braiztos for lunch. i feel that Braize embodies all that Guy represents on triple d and i feel that Guy would truly enjoy a visit to Braize. Thanks for your consideration! brad b.

I highly recommend you check out BraiZe in Bloomington, IL. This is a I highly recommend you check out BraiZe in Bloomington, IL. This is a pop up restaurant located in the VFW post #474 that serves sandwiches. BraiZe uses many ingredients sourced from local farmers and all food is prepared fresh to order. The menu is updated regularly based on seasonal availability. The signature item, the BraiZito, is a sandwich like no other: a six-inch chunk of hot, fresh-baked bread hollowed out and stuffed with goodness. The end of the bread is buttered and grilled so every BraiZito is good to the last bite. I recently had the daily special sandwich which was a shrimp po' boy with lobster slaw and creole dressing---fantastic! http://braizefood.com/our-story/
