Down in Ocean City , New Jersey a little Italian place resides on 13th and West Avenue. We heard about it from friends last year but every time we tried to eat there the place had a huge wait. Now we know why. We finally ate there this past week. Enjoyed it sooooo much that we went back the next evening! The menu ranges from gourmet pizzas to unbelievable pasta dinners. The first night we had sausage. broccoli rabe with white beans-sauteed w/ roasted garlic and roma tomatoes in a chablis wine sauce w/ penne pasta; and scallops dimare-pan seared and sautéed w/bacon, proscuitti, rosted garlic, sundried tomatoes and roasted red peppers in a sherry cream reduction over angel hair. The scallops were perfectly cooked and the sauce with angel hair was dreamy. The following evening we had to try the! I had Sweet Chicken Pie. Don't judge, just listen- oven roasted chicken atop a mascarpone cheese spread, covered w/ mozzarella, provolone and smoked gouda cheeses w/ caramelized sweet onions and ricotta cheese. All pizzas are cooked in one of two brick ovens in the kitchen. My goal is the try each one over the next year.
