The Shack in North Myrtle Beach South Carolina. It is the type of place in which I have never had anything that was not amazing. It is always packed. It has been in the city forever as the Biscuit Shack but after the former owner passed the new owner dropped the biscuit from the name and started an all out assault on taste buds. First they have the breakfast in town. The pancakes are out of this world and the biscuits will make you slap your momma. where really shine is when they break out the meat and three for lunch and diner. All the southern classics are on on a rocket ships to flavortown. My personal favorite is the beef tips over rice but the fried chicken, roost beef, and fried pork chops all leave my head spinning they are so good. And those are just the meat. the sides are crazy good. tomato pie, field peas, mac and cheese, and the list keeps going. I am obsessed with there collard greens and I hate collard greens. There shrimp and grit are some of the best I ever had. and the ribs. THE RIBS. If anything they make some of the best chicken bog I have ever tried and I grew up in a town that have an annual Chicken Bog Festival. What is Chicken Bog? it is a local dish of chicken, rice, sausage and spices. you have to try it.
