Thatchers Downtown in Jackson, KY
This is a happening litte place in Jackson, Ky a small town in eastern Kentucky. The owner is my brother Shawn Thatcher. The restaurant is called Thatchers Downtown. They make homemade doughnuts and breakfast sandwiches and lunch but the thing I wish you could try is his famous bbq dinner it is absolutely to die for. He built his own smoker and smokes brisket, ribs, turkey and pork and I’m sure I’m leaving something out. But I bet you have never had bbq like this. I've lived in the Carolina's(North and South),Memphis also!! Ate Texas,Alabama,and Mississippi bbq----some of the best I've had is at Thatcher's Downtown !!!!

THATCHERS DOWNTOWN. A tiny place in Jackson, KY, Breathitt County owne THATCHERS DOWNTOWN. A tiny place in Jackson, KY, Breathitt County owned and operated by Shawn Thatcher. He built his smoker and smokes ribs that fall off the bone. They need no sauce. His brisket, pork or turkey are so tender and juicy they melt in your mouth. He mixes his own secret seasoning for the meat her smokes. He only serves this Friday through Sunday and he stays up and does it all himself. No foil used except to carry it inside his restaurant. Definitely worth trying and worth your attention.
