Chef D's Sandwich Emporium located in Vassar Michigan is amazing! They make everything homemade! It is family owned and operated by a real chef, Chef Darren Drew. The atmoshere is nothing like you have ever seen. It is like you are stepping into a deli in New York or Chicago, very upscale. They have off the wall sandwiches, funny names, crazy huge portions and great prices. The porky pig grinder is wonderfully delicious, Mac daddy panino is great, best Mac n cheese ever and their Emporium menu rocks! The Emporium Dog is a must try and don't forget the cream puffs! The staff is top notch. There is not another place around like this. Come and see for yourself. It is definitely funky.

They opened in January 2018 and there is not another place around like them. Serving over the top sandwiches, salads, soups, desserts, dinner specials and breakfast brunches. Everything is made fresh daily right in front of you in the open kitchen. Sandwiches are huge and have funky names such as Mac Daddy, Porky Pig, Burrington and Emporium Dog just to name a few. My favorite is the Burger Week. Handmade, grilled outside on the grill to perfection. The must try burger is Chef D's own Something Squatchy Burger. Soups are hand crafted everyday. Salad portions are huge featuring anything from a Michigan Chicken Cherry, Chef's Chef or Turkey Cob and the list goes on and on. If you eat dinner there, it will be the best dinner you have ever had. Dinner specials include things like Chicken Lasagna, Porterhouse Steak, Apple Cherry Stuffed Pork Loin and Chicken Alfredo (try it in a scratch made bread bowl...yum) and for dessert huge and amazingly delicious Cream Puffs, Cinnamon Rolls, Brownies, Cakes, Pies and Cookies....all handmade with love. When you step into Chef D's Sandwich Emporium you are stepping into an upscale deli. The decor is unlike any I have seen mixing the history of the 1800's building it is located in with a fresh and new style. Everyone there is friendly and full of smiles.
